An important update about our campus community

I wrote to you during the spring semester to express my concern regarding instances of sexual assault, relationship violence and discrimination on our campus and, more importantly, the University’s response to alleged incidents. At that time, I committed to ensuring that our approaches to education, prevention, adjudication and survivor support are exemplars across the country, while maintaining a consistent, fair and transparent process.

UA Research Shines in International Ranking

May 30, 2018

In the Center for World University Rankings, the UA finished in the top 0.2 percent among more than 18,000 higher-education institutions worldwide. Its global ranking of No. 52 represented a 23-spot increase over last year. The UA's overall score placed it 34th among U.S. universities.

Please join me in congratulating Tony Proudfoot who has accepted a position as Vice President for Marketing and Strategic Communication at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. There, he will be responsible for repositioning the university to compete at a national level. He graciously has agreed to stay at the UA through June 22.
