Five UArizona faculty members have been named AAAS Fellows, a distinct honor in the scientific community bestowed by the American Association for the Advancement of Science. From using microbes to combat allergies to turning insects into food, the university's newest AAAS Fellows represent a broad range of research expertise.

NASA awarded nearly $3 million to the University of Arizona Kuiper Materials Imaging and Characterization Facility to support OSIRIS-REx sample science and much more.

Arizona Online earned its third consecutive top-10 finish among the best online bachelor's degree programs in the 2023 Best Online Bachelor's Programs rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

I am pleased to share that in the new fiscal year (starting July 1, 2023) the University will sustain ongoing efforts to retain its talented workforce and recruit competitively, while ensuring sound stewardship of our finances in a changing labor market.

I want to share with you several updates regarding the security and safety of our campus. As I do, I know our hearts continue to go out to the Meixner family following the tragic killing in October of their loved one and our treasured colleague, Professor Tom Meixner. Since then, the University and external, independent experts have engaged in efforts to examine our procedures and policies and to implement important changes.

Funded by a $1.3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education, the program will teach graduate students studying special education to collaborate with other specialists to provide more holistic support to students.

Arizona Board of Regents chair-elect Fred DuVal writes the state of the university is "strong – with even more to come" and that President Robert C. "Robbins is on track to be one of the most successful and consequential presidents of UArizona in recent memory."
