Current U.S. student visa rules regarding work by thousands of foreign students make it virtually impossible for them to accept NIL deals the way U.S. athletes can. In early June, Trahan, a former Division I volleyball player, was among those invited to give remarks at a Capitol reception hosted by the University of Arizona as part of a "Future of College Sports" event.
