Recognizing staff years of service and retirement

Dear colleagues,

I look forward to seeing you at the Staff Social on the Mall tomorrow. It will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and recognize the important contributions employees make every day.

Many of you shared feedback at last year’s inaugural event about bringing back the university’s recognition of staff years of service and retirement. I’m pleased to share that we are restoring this important tradition.

Based on recommendations from Staff Council, I have asked university leadership to work with their officers and other campus partners to develop a renewed recognition process. We will share additional details as plans take shape.

Thank you for the dedication and care you bring to your work each day. I hope to see you tomorrow.
