Delivering on Our Promise – Your Feedback Requested

Dear students and colleagues,

As Arizona’s flagship, land-grant university, the U of A has a special role in our state and in the world, and we have a proud history of impact on which to build. Our success going forward will depend on our capacity to work together with a common vision of who we are and why we exist as a university.

Articulating that vision is best done collaboratively, and we have spent much of the spring conducting a process with that goal in mind. Our university leaders and groups of faculty, staff, students, regents, friends, and community partners have come together to discuss and deliberate what makes the U of A distinctive and where we should go together. Our discussions were energizing, and I sincerely appreciate the contributions.

We now look forward to input from our greater campus community, and Delivering on Our Promise is available online for review and comment. Please take a few moments to read, consider, and then respond to a brief survey by Wednesday, April 23, at 5:00 p.m.  

We will review every submission, and the strategic imperatives document will be amended and updated based on your comments before we adopt and share it with our broader community. Our goal is for this document to serve as a rallying point and framework guiding us into the future across all our efforts, and your perspectives and insight will be critical.
