SUBJECT: 2014 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

Today, the University of Arizona Police Department has submitted the 2014 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. As members of the campus community, we all play an important role in ensuring the safety of all students, staff, faculty and visitors who come to the UA, and the report provides valuable information about safety protocol and resources available on campus.

The information in the report pertains to currently enrolled students and current employees, as well as prospective students and employees. It includes campus crime statistics and information about safety and security policies and procedures, UAPD patrol boundaries, how to report crimes on and off campus, the missing student notification policy for resident students, and the annual fire safety report.

The report is available at http://uapd.arizona.edu/sites/uapd/files/2014_annual_report.pdf. I urge you to review it with care. Copies of the report can be printed from the website above or are available upon request by contacting the UAPD Crime Prevention Office at 1852 E. First Street, Tucson, Arizona, 85721-0100. Please contact the Crime Prevention Office with any questions about the report at 520-621-4219.

Please join me in thanking the members of UAPD, Student Affairs, Risk Management, Facilities Management, and first responders who help ensure the safety of the UA.
